As a Netscape DevEdge Community developer, we'd like to invite
you to be among the first to download Netscape Visual JavaScript
1.0 Preview 1. This new drag-and-drop visual development tool
allows you to build dynamic web pages with HTML, Java and
JavaScript components. A preview of the tool is currently available
exclusively to DevEdge members, with public availability next week.

What is Visual JavaScript?
A tool for rapidly creating sophisticated "Crossware" applications
that connect web pages to databases. With Visual JavaScript, you
can drag and drop existing software components -- whether they
are written in Java, JavaScript or HTML -- onto Web pages to build
platform-independent applications.

Visual JavaScript includes a "Component Palette" with a rich array
of pre-built HTML form elements, JavaScript and JavaBeans that
will be available from Netscape. This component architecture and
pallette is fully extensible by third party developers. Along
with the Prerelease 1, Netscape has posted a Component Developers'
Kit to jump start these efforts.
(See URL below for more detail on this CDK.)
